Join our krewe as we march in the “Celebrate St. Louis” Mardi Gras parade in Soulard on Saturday, February 21! We'll also march in the Fat Tuesday parade the following week on the evening of February 24. Our “entourage” will dress in 1904 costume and ride a trolley car, a horse-drawn carriage, or walk alongside. Vickie Newton, KMOV TV-4 News Anchor, and Charlie Dooley, our new County Executive [plus other celebs and VIPs still pending RSVPs] will be joining us in the parades. Historic photos will be taken by Carl Essen and Rob Mitchell.
You and your guests are invited to participate in both parades...AT NO CHARGE! Contributions will be accepted to help defray our cost of entry fees, float decorations, top hats, and beads to be thrown...you don't have to be a 1904 member to be in our parade, but you can join if you like the day of the parades for just $19.04 and become a Charter Member and receive all the benefits and invitations to our events in 2004.
To participate, dress in black and white attire to reflect the Circa 1900 style...tuxedos for the men and long dresses/big hats for the ladies will work. Stallone's Tuxedo in Clayton has agreed to give us 30 men's tuxedos for the parades...AT NO CHARGE! First come...first serve on this freebie!
RSVP to our 1904 Parade Co-Chairs, Erika Hiller [314-583-5625] or Leslie Copeland [314-621-8200] to secure a position in our parades and reserve a tuxedo or find out where to get a lady's 1904 costume.
